Archived January 21, 2019 Volunteer Board Member Calgary Allied Arts Foundation (CAAF) is currently looking for a new addition to our Board of Directors. About Us CAAF has a long and distinguished history in the Calgary arts community. CAAF’s vision is to promote Calgary as a leading visual arts centre, and our mission is to promote the visual arts in Calgary. We do this through the direct support of artists, and the creation and promotion of exhibitions that give the general public access to the work of these artists. CAAF facilitates a studio residency program for emerging artists. The studio space, located in cSPACE, is offered to juried artists in one to three-month duration. CAAF also programs exhibitions in Gallery 505, which is located at 505 8th Ave. SW. The exhibited artworks are drawn from Calgary’s Civic Art Collection. Who we are Looking for The CAAF Board of Directors is looking for a proactive professional who is passionate about supporting the arts in Calgary. In addition to a love of art, we are looking for board members who might have experience in fund development, marketing, finance, etc. Board members serve for a maximum of two three-year terms and are expected to attend our monthly meetings, including the AGM. Depending on each individual’s interests and experiences, applicants may be recruited to join either the Gallery 505 Committee or the Residency Committee. Board members are also expected to contribute to ongoing operations, the successful completion of events, and other duties as required.
