Music Leader and Musicians

Calgary Queer Church is growing and evolving into our third year! We are looking for new members of our music team. Our musicians lead the service in meaningful songs that connect to each month’s theme.

Calgary Queer Church was founded in 2015 by a group of people passionate about making worship and spiritual discussion accessible to the LGBTQ community through afternoon and evening programming, engaging topics, and exciting dialogues. In 2017, Calgary Queer Church received funding from St Andrew’s Regional Ministries, and in 2018, funding from the United Church Foundation.

There is one monthly service, typically on the first Sunday of each month.

What we are looking for: excited, engaging, and punctual performers who like to interpret themes into music sets that fit with the Spirit. Each service would feature between four and six songs. Instruments we have had in the past have included guitar, drums, bass, and vocals; we are open to other gifts as presented.

Compensation to be discussed.

If you or someone within your network is interested in this exciting opportunity, please encourage them to contact Calgary Queer Church’s Program Coordinator, Kiran Stewart-McKee at calgaryqueerchurch@gmail.com.
