Archived January 2, 2020 Call for Musicians The Calgary String Collective is an intermediate to advanced string orchestra for adults, a great place to learn, improve, and socialize over music! Our group consists of players that have played together in different ensembles and music camps over the years—Blue Arch, Calgary Civic Symphony, Ambrose University Orchestra, and the WCAMS summer camps to name a few. Playing music has forged friendships and a sense of community over the years and we hope that you will join us in making this coming season an awesome one! Robert Penner, a former violinist of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, is our music director. Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays at Woodcliff United Church (5010 Spruce Dr. SW) from 7:00 to 9:30pm. Our winter semester will take place from January 8 to April 29, 2020.
