Call for Dancers

Ariadne auf Naxos

Calgary Opera is looking for four dancers for the production of Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss.

Requirements:

  • Three male and one female.
  • Preferred minimum height of 5’7”.
  • Experience as an acrobat/physical performer with professional contemporary dance technique. An affinity for burlesque style performing is an asset.
  • Must have excellent improvisational skills, mature personality, strong stage presence, and a minimum of two years post-graduation stage experience.

Rehearsal Dates: March 30 – April 24, 2020
Performances: April 25, 27, May 1, 2020
Location: Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (1415 14th Ave. NW)

All artists are engaged under terms of an equity contract. Non-equity dancers may be engaged under the terms of an equity contract and may not be required to join.
