YYC Music Awards
Showcasing and honouring the incredible musical talent produced in the Calgary area, the YYC Music Awards is proud to announce artist submissions open for its seventh annual gala being hosted in September 2022.
Event details will be released later in the spring as we continue to monitor COVID-19 restrictions.
Calgary’s music community remains creative, resilient, and diverse. This year, we continue to have a lot to celebrate—each other, our amazing accomplishments even in difficult times, and the wonderful community of music makers and supporters that call our city home.
Submissions open as of March 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
Celebrating the award gala’s seventh anniversary, the 2022 YYC Music Awards will honour artists and industry professionals in 25 categories.
Artists interested in submitting their works for the 2022 YYC Music Awards can apply by visiting yycmusicawards.com.
Please Note Submission Requirements
Recording Awards Submission
The album or single must have been commercially released between March 1, 2021, and February 28, 2022, to be eligible. This time frame will be strictly enforced, and the YYCMA will not accept submissions for materials released outside this time frame. Singles may not be part of a collection previously nominated.
Artistic and Industry Awards Submission
Eligibility dates for the artistic and industry category awards are between March 1, 2021, and February 28, 2022.
Who Can Apply?
Artists from the Calgary area, including Airdrie, Banff, Canmore, Cochrane, Strathmore, and areas up to a maximum 125 km radius of the city of Calgary at the time of submission and at least six months prior.
