Call for TYA Musical Theatre Touring Show Audition Submissions

Evergreen Theatre invites performers to submit a self-tape* for our upcoming touring production. Candidatesmay be offered an in-person callback at Evergreen Community SPACES (Date/Time TBD).

To audition please submit your acting resume, general resume, a brief cover letter and a headshot along with aself-tape that includes:

  • One pop or Top 40 song (released in the last 5 years, under 2 mins, that showcases your voice and range).
  • One monologue (under 2 mins, appropriate to the TYA genre). *Self-tapes can be recorded on your phone.

Please ensure adequate lighting and volume. Please sing with a backing track or instrumentation.

Contract Details

This TYA production is a five-month+ full-time contract. It will be high-energy-fun, but also exhausting.Rehearsal dates: January 8 – 26, 2024 (*Mostly daytime Monday – Friday)

Touring dates: January 29 – Mid/End June 2024 (4 dark weeks approx. within this time period).

Possible extension of 2-4 weeks in Fall 2024. Please note while the majority of shows are in Calgary, we do tour acrossAlberta.

All applicants must have a valid Alberta Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract. If hired, applicants mustbe willing to provide a valid police/vulnerable sector check. Artists are responsible for finding their ownaccommodations in Calgary. For all out-of-town performances, accommodations and meal per diems areprovided.

Evergreen Theatre pay rates are in line with Equity standards.
