Auditions May 22, 2020 Casting Call Bamboo Shoots, in association with Calgary Arts Development, is looking for a dynamic person to host an ongoing web series that celebrates creative living in Calgary. We’re looking for a host who will guide the viewer through a variety of real-life stories that show what living a creative life in Calgary looks like. If you’re an individual who is genuinely enthused by others’ passion for creativity, please apply with a short video of yourself on your smartphone. As Canada’s third most diverse city, we want our show to reflect the stories of all Calgarians who live their creative lives and that includes our host. People from all backgrounds are encouraged to submit. Here’s what we would love to see in your submission: Introduce yourself and tell us or demonstrate what living a creative life means to you. Show off your conversation skills through a chat with a friend or relative about the ways the pandemic situation has led to an exploration or manifestation of their creativity during COVID-19. Not an interview, so much as a conversation. As the show is about living a creative life, feel free to get creative! Videos should be no longer than two minutes. This is a paid contract position with plans for filming at the beginning of June. To learn more about Calgary Arts Development and Living a Creative Life, check out calgaryartsdevelopment.com.
