Chinatown is defining the next stage in Tomorrow’s Chinatown. We are looking for aspiring local artists to express appreciation through art to beautify the area.
Calgary Chinatown BIA will select three designs in this contest and each winning designer will win $800 cash prize! The winning design will be displayed as banners throughout Chinatown.
The lamppost banners are part of the Chinatown BIA’s on-going effort to improve your experience and create lasting memories.

Requirements
Age: Must be 18 or above
Theme: Our Chinatown, Your Community
Specifications: A pair of banners at 24 inches (W) x 48 inches (H) each
Your submission must include:
- Examples of the artists’ past works.
- A brief description of your submission.
- A rough sketch, a conceptual expression that reflects the description of your submission.
