An opportunity for your children to explore new mediums, and experience art-making alongside professional Calgary based artist Deseré Pressey. In this series of workshops, your child will learn how to create finely finished original works of art. You might even hang it proudly on your walls! Dates: Saturday, March 16, 2019 Saturday, March 30, 2019 Saturday, April 13, 2019 Saturday, May 11, 2019 Please note your ticket itinerary is for a series (four days) as follows: Alcohol Inks on YUPO paper – Day 1, 2:00 – 4:00pm Mixed Media Collage on board – Day 2, 2:00 – 4:00pm Cyanotype Printmaking – Day 3, 2:00 – 4:00pm Wood/Photo Transfers – Day 4, 2:00 – 4:00pm Deseré Pressey is an intuitive abstract painter, creative events designer and currently studying art therapy. She will be opening Little Duck Gallery Inc late 2019. As an artist, and facilitator she brings not only technique into her workshops – but an invitation to explore the process of art-making as a mindfulness practice. Gentle guidance and meditation will be brought into these sessions, and Deseré will be working with the children to bring intentions into their process and artwork as a way to process any emotions or questions in an alternative way than through spoken word.
