Summer Student Jobs

The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers is an inclusive, non-profit, arts-based society that exists to fuel filmmakers, support storytellers and connect the cinematic community. CSIF’s vision is to be a destination community for independent film production, exhibition, and for people who love cinema.

CSIF is now accepting applications for three full-time summer students for 2018. All three positions will be 14-week contracts, at $15/hour and 35 hours/weeks. Start date will be May 22, 2018.

The positions advertised are as follows:

  • Coordinator, Diversifying the Voices in Celluloid Program
  • Coordinator, Communications & Promotion
  • Coordinator, Equipment & Production

Please refer to this PDF attached for details regarding each position.

All three positions are contingent on funding from Canada Summer Jobs.

Changes in funding will typically affect the length of the contract and/or the number of hours per week, not the hourly rate.

These positions are only open to returning students (students who were enrolled in classes in 2017/18 and will be enrolling again in 2018/19).

The application deadline for all three is April 27, 2018, 5:00pm.

If you’re interested, please email your resume and a cover letter that references which position you are applying for to director@csif.org.
