Dance Instructors

StoryBook Theatre is currently seeking dance coaches for our theatre school programming. We are looking for experienced dance teachers and professional artists to instruct children ages six to 18.

Classes:

  • Spotlight Jr – Dance
  • Musical Theatre – Dance

Contract Hours

Winter :

  • January 5 to March 16, 2019

Spring:

  • March 24 to June 15, 2019

Operating Hours:

  • Spotlight Jr – Sundays from 11:00am – 1:00pm
  • Musical Theatre for Teens – Sundays from 1:30 – 4:30pm

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in drama, dance, and/or education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum two years teaching or directing experience.
  • Must have a passion for sharing theatre with young artists.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • High level of personal organization and planning.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Must work well in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of technical theatre is an asset.
  • Basic first aid is an asset.
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
