Opportunity for Artists to Show at Pop-Up Gallery
Artists are invited to participate in an innovative project hosted by DEIS Art Association. It’s a long-term art show in a gallery format, run by artists themselves, where each participating artist has their own art boutique. No strict requirements, hardly any limitations, lots of cooperation and mutual support.
The DEIS pop-up gallery is located in downtown Calgary on the corner of 5th Ave. and 4th St. SW in the old Gainsborough Gallery location. The gallery is open this November and December from Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 5:30pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 3pm,.
There are two ways for the artists to participate in this project:
- Artists may participate actively by getting a separate 110 square foot lot for $350 per month, which they can share with other artists, and then do their commission-free sales; or
- Artists may submit their artwork on 25% commission, in which case the artists will present their portfolios and the DEIS directorate will select the artists’ artworks at their own discretion.
