The Opportunity

The director, Indigenous leadership, reports directly to the vice president, arts and leadership and has the faculty and program design team reporting directly to them. To achieve excellence in program planning, design and delivery, the director is accountable for creative design and business development that ensures programming goals, organizational priorities, and deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree with minimum 10 years of leadership experience working with First Nations communities, as well as experience in diversity and equity as they relate to human resources, student experience and the workplace.
  • Lived experience of Indigenous worldviews, cultures and values, and superior understanding of diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis knowledge systems.
  • Direct community engagement experience with the proven ability to create plans and programs that respect community values.
