Down to Earth Week

Are you a social innovator? A Calgarian of vision who believes in the power of living locally, building thriving communities and shared prosperity? Are you an entrepreneur who does business differently, who cares deeply about people and the planet in addition to making a profit? Are you looking to connect with others who think, live, and do business the same way you do?

If you are, then Down To Earth Week is definitely for you.

Down To Earth Week 2017 will bring together 19 presenters across three interactive events, all of whom are visionaries and agents of social change. Together we will explore ideas and come up with creative new ways to instigate meaningful, long-term change in Calgary, both socially and from a business point of view.

After Michael’s keynote, get inspired and connected to three Calgary organizations that are working at the intersection of urban food production and poverty. Representatives from Boks Farms, Grow Calgary, and The Alex Community Food Centre will share openly the challenges of creating meaningful work for those left out of the mainstream economy, using local food production as an instrument of change.
