Archived April 16, 2018 Dreamweaver Bus Imagine a magical school bus that is home and transportation to a half dozen creative characters—artists, visionaries, storytellers, crafters, dreamers, performers, and musicians—all sharing their unique perspective of an incredible collaborative adventure through their own personal creativity. The bus is fueled by recycled vegetable oil, powered by solar, and contributed to by an entire community of passionate people giving through their gifts. Where is it going and what are these goofballs doing on the bus? That’s where you come in! The Collective Tribe Community is offering a week-long artist residency inside the Dreamweaver Bus and we are looking for participants! Traveling to a secluded region of Kananaskis, this retreat will be an opportunity to connect deeply with nature and to allow your creative practice to blossom, without the everyday distractions of city life. The bulk of the eight-day quest will be devoted to the free flow of inspiration and spontaneous creativity; however, there will also be opportunities for collaboration, conversation, gift giving, and adventure. We respect each individual’s creative process and personal freedom to participate only as you feel inclined. The Quick Glance What: An eight-day, seven-night adventure into nature for camping and space to focus on creative outlets and reflection. When: Sunday, August 26 (morning departure) to Sunday, September 2, 2018 (evening) Where: Departure and return are in Calgary and the retreat destination will be deep in Kananaskis. Who: Room for nine creative artists, ready to dive into their process and flow as part of a mini-tribe. Why: To create a space for creativity to emerge through the inspiration of wild nature; a chance to unplug from the digital world and root into the wisdom of the outdoors.
