Elephant Artist Relief Society (EAR) is upgrading and rebranding our overall public image. This will involve an overhaul of our website and promotional materials. We are looking for interns to help produce and design our new image. These positions will start in the spring and stretch into the summer of 2019. These positions are about six weeks in length and will be up to 10 to15 hours per week. The materials designer will design and create new digital and hard-copy imagery for EAR. Over a six-week period, the designer will work closely with a production manager to launch new promotional materials and construct a new website for the society. The ideal candidate will have experience constructing a WordPress/SquareSpace website that will be readied for the production manager to add content. The designer will also advise and report to an EAR Committee devoted to the launch while consulting with the society’s administrator. Ideal for someone with course work in: Visual arts and design Web design Visual communications Fine art Digital media and IT Digital illustration and comic art Arts Design studies Some specialized skills required: Organizational skills. Experience with Adobe suite. Some experience with SquareSpace and or WordPress. What we will Accomplish at the end of the Internship: Once implemented these materials, including templates for business/membership cards and pamphlets, imagery for social media and the website will be submitted in a shareable folder for future uses. Design a new look for EAR’s brochures, business and membership cards, social media graphics, and a website under the direction of an EAR committee. Provide content and image ready files for printing purposes. Provide readied templates for the production manager to add content.
