Special General Meeting

We are hosting a Special General Meeting! We have a few policies to go over so come listen to what we have planned for the coming year, enjoy some tasty snacks and become an EAR member.
At this year’s SGM we will be putting forward an official resolution to move our Annual General Meeting and the due date of membership from June to April. The official resolution will also allow existing EAR Members to renew lapsed memberships, and for new people to become EAR Members, and vote as official EAR Members at the November 5, 2018, SGM, without the regular 30-day waiting period.
We will be having a guest lecture by Carli Castle. Life after Art School will give us insight into her journey as a local glass artist and how her experiences shaped her career in the creative field.
Carli Castle is a local artist that creates unique art objects that borrow from the aesthetics of the Albertan landscape. Her main focus is within the world of glass and how to create innovative works of art with this unconventional medium. In 2012 she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Glass, from Alberta College of Art + Design. During that time she has presented awards that allowed her to study that two of North America’s most influential glass focused institutions; The Corning Museum of Glass and Plichuck Glass School. Over the past nine years, she has showcased her work in several exhibitions within Alberta, studied abroad and completed an internship in the Maldives.
CommunityWise is wheelchair accessible and is a welcoming safe space for all. Street parking is limited but it is easily accessible by Calgary Transit.
