Archived August 16, 2018 Empire Ammolite Gem and Fossil Production Assistant & Gem-Setter/Jewellery Designer We are a well-funded new company with a highly productive ammolite mine that produces fine jewellery and fossils. We are seeking to hire a gem and fossil production assistant and a gem-setter/jewellery designer. The ideal production assistant candidates will have experience in lapidary work, close attention to detail, and capable of lifting fossils up to 50 lbs. The ideal gem-setter/jewellery designer will have experience in setting cabochons, sizing rings, designing custom jewellery, and have a desire to be creative and innovative. The production assistant is to start immediately working at our off-site facility in Springbank, moving to our downtown Calgary retail/production location set to open in November. The gem-setter/jewellery designer position is to start the first week of September and work off-site until the downtown location opens. Both roles can be part-time, but full-time if preferred.
