Archived April 13, 2018 Call for Expressions of Interest Assessment of the Edmonton Public Art Collection The deadline for submissions for this opportunity has passed. The Edmonton Arts Council, on behalf of the City of Edmonton, seeks a Canadian Curator or Curatorial team to undertake the first phase in an assessment of the City of Edmonton Public Art Collection. The Edmonton Arts Council has embarked upon an in-depth assessment of its public art and conservation department activities and priorities. The multi-phased approach will culminate in a comprehensive Collections Management Policy that will guide future development and maintenance of the City of Edmonton Public Art Collection. The Curatorial Survey and Report (Phase 1) will form a comprehensive portrait of the collection, its cultural and material value, as well as place within the larger continuum of Canadian art history. The completed assessment will provide an objective analysis of the quality, depth and significance of the works in the collection and provide a framework for future direction. This multi-phased project includes: A survey of the collection & Summary Report (Phase 1) A Collection Development Plan (Phase 2) Budget: Please include a proposed fee with your submission materials.
