Calgary Arts Development believes that artists should be paid for their work. For job postings and open calls, please share salary ranges or payment. Please note that ads for jobs outside of Calgary and area may not be posted.

Everything Summer

Juried Art Show

This is an open call to artists, of all levels and all mediums 2 and 3D. Motion Gallery Society is hosting a juried art show, with a theme of Everything Summer. The show runs from July 15 to August 28, 2018, and will be introduced with an event on July 19, 2018. Motion Gallery Society will then provide an opportunity for participants to host and invite guests throughout the summer to view the exhibit and or host demonstrations.

Important Information:

  • Entry fee is $20 for members of Motion Gallery Society, $30 non-members.
  • Two entries per artist to be juried, you will be notified by July 7, 2018, if accepted.
  • All mediums, 2 and 3D accepted.
  • All art must be available for purchase, original, and must not be more than two years old.

Important Dates:

  • Entry Deadline: June 28, 2018
  • Notice of Acceptance: July 7, 2018
  • Exhibition: July 15 – August 30, 2018
  • Opening Reception: July 19, 2018
  • Pick Up: August 28 – 30, 2018

Artists earn 75% of sold pieces, with Motion Gallery Society retaining the remainder. We are a cooperative, not for profit society.
