About Femme Wave Femme Wave is Calgary’s first and only multi-disciplinary feminist arts festival with a mission to create a safe, positive, and inclusive space for women and non-binary artists. The fifth annual Femme Wave Feminist Arts Festival is scheduled for November 7 to 10, 2019 across various venues in downtown Calgary. Land Acknowledgement Femme Wave acknowledges Calgary as the traditional territory of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Ĩyãħé Nakoda First Nations, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley First Nations.
