If you would like to learn more about The City services and legislated requirements when hosting your festivals and events in Calgary, please register. This is a great opportunity to meet with your City of Calgary Event Liaison, mingle with other event organizers, share information and speak to experts in the field. The session is free to anyone who is involved with organizing both large and small scale events, festivals, walks or runs in Calgary. Our first session of 2019 will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 6:00 – 8:00pm. Location: Historic Holy Angels Civic Building (2105 Cliff St. SW) There will be time for Q&A, so you can ask questions that apply to your specific event. The session will include: 6:00 – 6:05pm: Welcome 6:05 – 6:30pm: Calgary Fire – Outdoor Special Event Guide and Site Inspections 6:30 – 7:00pm: Occupational Health & Safety – Legislation Awareness & Best Practices Manual 7:00 – 7:30pm: Alberta Health Services – Requirement for Special Event and Community Functions 7:30 – 7:55pm: Waste & Recycling – Suggestions for Your Event’s Waste & Recycling Strategy 7:55 – 8:00pm: Wrap-up Space is limited to 100 attendees so please register by emailing eventservices@calgary.ca.
