Frozen in Time

The Alberta Society of Artists invites all artists in Alberta (must be 18 years of age or older) to submit to the exhibition, Frozen in Time.

Open to interpretation; the emphasis is on stillness either literally or formally. It may be time-lapse or still frame inspired as in photography or separated from time as in the fragment of a dream or a fleeting memory of the past. Geological and fossilized stratification could also be of interest both in terms of painting or sculpture.

A size limitation of 36″ in any direction. Meaning, the maximum size of the painting should be more than 36”x36”. Two-dimensional works only. Artworks to be delivered in January 2020 (exact date TBD). A printed catalogue will be publish for this exhibit.

Submission Fees

$20 submission fee for all non-members (may submit up to two artworks). Submission fees are waived for ASA Associate & Student Members. Submission fees are waived for ASA Juried & Life Members.

This exhibition will accept both works for exhibition only and works for sale. Any sale arising from this exhibit will have a commission not to exceed 20% of the value of the work.
