The Alberta Society of Artists invites all artists in Alberta (must be 18 years of age or older) to submit to the exhibition, Frozen in Time. Open to interpretation; the emphasis is on stillness either literally or formally. It may be time-lapse or still frame inspired as in photography or separated from time as in the fragment of a dream or a fleeting memory of the past. Geological and fossilized stratification could also be of interest both in terms of painting or sculpture. A size limitation of 36″ in any direction. Meaning, the maximum size of the painting should be more than 36”x36”. Two-dimensional works only. Artworks to be delivered in January 2020 (exact date TBD). A printed catalogue will be publish for this exhibit. Submission Fees $20 submission fee for all non-members (may submit up to two artworks). Submission fees are waived for ASA Associate & Student Members. Submission fees are waived for ASA Juried & Life Members. This exhibition will accept both works for exhibition only and works for sale.
