Gallery Director

Position Summary
Terms: Full time (approximately 35 hrs per week)
Start Date: October 1, 2022
Salary Level: $40,000 – $45,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Be a positive and dynamic presence for VivianeArt both in the gallery and in the greater arts community.
- Manage all shipping arrangements and logistics.
- Keep the gallery website up to date.
- Oversee management of gallery inventory, client relations and social media.
Ideal Candidate:
- Completed a post-secondary program in art history, visual and/or media arts, museum studies or a related field.
- Demonstrates a solid knowledge of and keen interest in contemporary art.
- Solid administrative skills and experience, ideally in the visual arts.
- Comfortable interacting with members of the public.
- Responsible, hard working, enthusiastic and dynamic.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively.
- A strong sales background.
