Job Opportunities August 8, 2022 Graphic Design & Production Intern Harvest Builders is a talent studio that works with venture backed early-stage tech businesses to overcome the biggest barrier to a startup’s growth – building and scaling talent. As part of our mission to build and scale talent, Harvest is launching a new brand and product that is uniquely designed to reboot and redefine startup culture, and provide a connection point for outside-the-box thinkers and rocketship companies ready to launch. Harvest is looking for an enthusiastic Graphic Designer & Production Intern who wants to be a part of launching a new brand and product to the market. You will get to learn and work alongside high-performing entrepreneurs and professionals in a fast-paced, innovative, and rewarding environment. In this position, you will work with the Design and Marketing teams to translate concepts into visual designs that articulate brand positioning and developing YouTube, TikTok and other social content designed to entertain, educate, and build a community. This is a full-time four-month term starting in September 2022, with the potential to extend for a total of eight months. This internship is open to post-secondary students who are returning to full-time or part-time studies in fall of 2022. Candidates must be located in Calgary, or open to relocate for on-site work. What you’ll be doing Graphic Design: Communicate and collaborate with members of the marketing team to unify the overall vision. Create graphics and content through thoughtful use of typography, colour, vectors, and photography for various products, events, and digital experiences. Use analytical thinking, best practices, and research to inform and justify decisions. Produce designs for the full lifecycle of a project from ideating, wire-framing, illustration, icon creation, and layout design. Design pixel-perfect mockups for cross-platform experiences (Web, Android, iOS, emails) Video Production: Assisting Producers and Directors to coordinate film and photography shoots. Support with video editing and post production in Adobe Premiere. Administrative support, including file management, sourcing gear, researching crew, photocopy/printing/scanning and maintaining spreadsheets and decks. On-set production assistance, including gathering signatures for releases, being a “runner,” and generally helping out wherever needed. Who we are looking for Pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in graphic design, architecture, digital media, or marketing, and currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year. Strong skills in Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe XD. Strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign. Strong skills in video editing within Adobe Premiere. You’re an effective communicator with strong organizational skills. You are a strong team player who can excel in a fast-paced environment. You are a curious and personable individual with an interest in technology and business. You’re willing to do the hard work required to grow and build the tech industry.
