Marketing Specialist

We are currently looking for our newest addition to our marketing team at Hillberg & Berk. Do you have a passion for styling, design, and creative development within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment? If so, our marketing specialist may be the role for you!

Note: This is a 14-month term, starting in February 2021.

Are you the right fit?

We’re looking for someone passionate about retail, fashion, and accessories and keen on developing their knowledge in omnichannel and relationship marketing. We are looking for someone who embraces their authenticity and believes in the empowerment of others and themselves—you work hard towards your goals and set new ones for yourself. You follow local and larger trends and aspire to support a purpose-driven brand through product and content marketing.

You’re a savvy communicator with great project management skills and organizational skills who can keep a cross-functional campaign involving internal and external partners on track across multiple locations. You are a strong initiator, and leader of self, rallying others through strong communication and collaborative work. You are also a creative problem-solver who thinks outside the box.

What can you expect in this role?

As a Marketing Specialist, you’ll provide a fresh, progressive approach to content marketing. Your goal is to bring Hillberg & Berk’s purpose-driven brand to life through our product. You will also lead concept development – soliciting team input via brainstorming sessions, writing, and presenting rationales, and providing strategic direction to writers and designers.

You will manage our content and asset development process for product launches, brand and social media campaigns, create vision boards, shot lists, wardrobe inspiration, organic content for digital publishing platforms, and source wardrobe and props as needed. You’ll also plan, coordinate, direct, and style photoshoots—working with photographers, videographers, and partner agencies to ensure required shots are captured and product is represented via brand-aligned imagery.

As a member of a small and dynamic team, within a vertically-integrated business, you will work cross-functionally with other subject-matter experts in marketing, including graphic design specialists, photographers, copywriters, and agencies. You will create strong partnerships with product, design, and sales channels to support cross-functional objectives.

What do you need to apply?

You have two to four years experience working with digital-based assets and content production, preferably within retail, fashion, or accessories, along with an undergraduate degree in a related field. You have a strong understanding of photography and editing – shining in a fast-paced, creative, and development-focused environment.

At Hillberg & Berk, we offer incentives like competitive salary and benefits, as well as discounts on jewellery. You will be empowered to own your career and be a part of a growing, dynamic and evolving company.

This position can work out of Regina or Calgary.

If this position sounds like it is a fit for you, apply online by November 23, 2020. We would love to hear how you might be a fit for our female-driven business!
