One Yellow Rabbit is hiring the contract position of Festival Driver for their 34th annual High Performance Rodeo, Calgary’s International Festival of the Arts.

Reporting to the festival producer, and working closely with the festival team, the festival driver provides transportation for artists, materials, and staff during the High Performance Rodeo throughout the city of Calgary, and especially in the downtown core. This role is an on-call position during the month of January, with hours estimated at 35 per week and a total fee of $2,500.

Contract Fee: $2,500
Contract Dates: January 3 – 28, 2020, with attendance at a festival debrief on January 31, 2020.
Hours: This contract position is estimated at 35 hours per week.

We are looking for a candidate with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, a great sense of direction, who is comfortable driving in downtown Calgary and to/from the airport. This person has experience driving rental vehicles including a cargo van and a mini-van (automatic). You are a friendly, forward-facing member of our festival team delivering exceptional hospitality to all visiting artists. Light to medium lifting of luggage and equipment will be required.

Daily hours will vary for this position, with driving often occurring in the early morning, late evening, and everything in between. An ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and good availability for the entirety of the contract. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and in close collaboration with a team.
