Calling all budding arts and cultural management students!

The IGNITE! Festival of Emerging Artists is looking to fill a SCiP position for box office and customer service manager, for this year’s festival.

Applicants must have attended a degree, diploma, certificate, or graduate studies program within this academic year and are limited to one SCiP position per academic year.

Manage volunteers and box office operations, while gaining valuable arts management expertise under the mentorship of the festival’s producer and social media coordinator.

The IGNITE! Festival of Emerging Artists is a festival dedicated to supporting, mentoring and presenting emerging artists of all disciplines. IGNITE! allows artists to embrace risks in a supportive environment while providing resources, a bridge to the professional arts community, and meaningful opportunities for collaboration and community building with their peers.

In 2018 the IGNITE! Festival featured over 150 emerging artists and 6 different series serving artists of all disciplines. The IGNITE! Festival strives to offer emerging artists a productive professional foundation and community building opportunities.

The festival organizers are individuals who are emphatic about supporting the Calgary arts community, and work as professional artists themselves!

The 2019 IGNITE! Festival is looking for a passionate and interested student to fill the box office manager role for the festival, which takes place June 9 to 15, 2019.

The box office and marketing coordinator will manage ticket promotions and sales, coordinate with social media to strategize marketing, analyze social media metrics and audience demographics, and manage the overall box office for the duration of the festival.

This includes becoming an expert at the festival CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, arts people.

Note that the ideal candidate for this role will be present and available in Calgary prior to and during the festival June 9 to 15, 2019.
