Have you always wanted to try image transfers but weren’t sure where to start? Learn the tips and tricks around the mediums, substrates, and more!

We will work through an introduction on a variety of supplies, applications, and best practices. The first half of the workshop will be instructor-led demos combined with hands-on practice. In the second half, I will provide individual consultation to help you incorporate your preferred transfer method into your art.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this is a great opportunity to learn a new skill. Incorporate transfers into your existing practice or just a fun technique to learn! This class is also suitable for young adults* who enjoy working alongside adults.

In this six-hour workshop you will learn:

• Suggested tools, mediums + substrates.
• Differing results with printers, inks + paper.
• Colour versus b/w transfers.
• How to layer images in a mixed media piece.

• All materials supplied.
• Copyright free images will be supplied.
• Participants may want to send their own copyright imagery to transfer.
• Images must be supplied to the studio by March 19, 2018, email or drop off accepted.

Participants should bring a bag lunch, tea, coffee, water will be provided.
