Archived September 17, 2019 Inaugural Networking Event The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) is pleased to announce its inaugural networking event from 5:00 to 7:30pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at the BMO Room, Central Library (800 3rd St. SE). ICAI offers a friendly space in Calgary where all immigrant artists can feel free to create, connect, and display their works in an environment that fosters support and inclusion. It encourages diversity of expression and culture by creating a safe and welcoming environment. ICAI fosters the creation of a local community of artists who are encouraged to develop, perfect and market their arts, while also exposing their distinct cultural identities to the people of Calgary. It is creating a community where immigrant artists are able to connect with their peers and stakeholders regardless of cultural barriers. ICAI will discuss their vision for creating a local council in Calgary where emerging immigrant artists feel free to create, connect, and display their works in an environment that fosters support, inclusion, diversity of expression, and culture.
