Intro Voice and Presence

This course is an introduction to the nature of voice production and articulation. The emphasis will be on freeing the natural voice as it pertains to any performance.

It is a 12-week exploration into how to use your voice.

Over the course, you will:

  • Learn how and why we do certain voice exercises as well as stretches we use to open the body to supported breath and sound.
  • Develop skills that help you use your full, natural range of expression and expand your presence to get your message across.

Class Dates: Wednesday evenings, January 16 – April 3, 2019, 7:00 – 9:00pm
12 sessions

Cost: $300.00 + GST
Payment options available. No refund after the first class.

Location: Pine Studio at Evergreen Community Spaces (1709 8th Ave. NE)

Jane has taught Voice for the Actor for over 20 years at such institutions as U of A, U of C, MRU, York, SMU and Harvard. She is the Resident Voice Coach for Theatre Calgary and has worked with Vertigo Theatre, Lunchbox Theatre, ATP, Sage Theatre, Theatre Junction, and The Shakespeare Company.

$50 deposit required by December 15, 2018. Full tuition due by the first day of classes.
