This course is an introduction to the nature of voice production and articulation. The emphasis will be on freeing the natural voice as it pertains to performance.

It is a 12-week exploration of how to use your voice.

Over the course, you will:

• Learn how and why we do certain voice exercises as well as stretches we use to open the body to supported breath and sound.
• Gain a better understanding of the progression through warming up your voice.
• Work practically with a variety of texts, to make the transition from the “warm-up” to the application in rehearsal and performance.
• Develop skills that help you use your full, natural range of expression and expand your presence to get your message across.

This program is an in-depth introduction to voice-work for anyone who wants to improve his or her presentation skills.  It is an ongoing exploration and deepening of voice-work that actors use, and is also accessible and open to anyone that requires extensive use of their voice on a daily basis.
