Voice Activated

Intro Voice & Presence

The registration period for this opportunity has passed.

This course is an introduction to the nature of voice production and articulation. The emphasis will be on freeing the natural voice as it pertains to performance.

It is a 12-week exploration into how to use your voice.

Over the course, you will:

  • Learn how and why we do certain voice exercises as well as stretches we use to open the body to supported breath and sound.
  • Gain a better understanding of the progression through warming up your voice.
  • Work practically with a variety of texts, to make the transition from the “warm-up” to the application in rehearsal and performance.
  • Develop skills that help you use your full, natural range of expression and expand your presence to get your message across.

Class runs Wednesday evenings, 7:00 to 9:00pm.

Dates: September 5 – November 21, 2018, 12 sessions
Cost: $300 + GST
Location: Pine Studio, Evergreen Community Spaces (1709 8th Ave. NE)
