Lewis Farms Facility & Park

Call to Western Canadian Public Art Consultants/Curators

The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC), on behalf of the City of Edmonton, seeks a Western Canada-based public art consultant/curator/lead artist to define parameters, and create a plan for public art at the new Lewis Farms Facility and Park. The anticipated total art budget for this project is $1.5 million (subject to funding).

The public art consultant will work with the Lewis Farms Facility and Park team to identify opportunities for public art integration. They will research local history and participate in meetings with the design team, public stakeholders and partners, and other advisory groups to develop parameters for public artworks. The consultant will also assist in writing public art calls and advise on artwork selection processes.

Consultant Fee: Commensurate with experience. Please include a proposed fee with submission materials.
Deadline: Friday, August 30, 2019, 4:30pm MDT
Schedule: Project begins September 2019 to be completed by end of May 2020, with the option to extend services as needed by the EAC.
