Job Type: Full-time, Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30am – 5:30pm Masters Gallery is one of the most well-respected dealers of fine art in Canada. Specializing in historical, post-war and contemporary, as well as living artists, it brings quality art and impeccable customer service to clients nationwide. Purpose of the Job Masters Gallery seeks a full-time gallery and framing shop assistant for framing, gallery and shipping support. Main Responsibilities: Supporting the frameshop manager with custom framing. Organizing, shipping and crating artwork. Wrapping artwork and assisting clients to their cars. Hanging artwork and applying wall vinyl. Moving and storing artwork. Tidying and maintaining the gallery space. General support of the gallery and frameshop staff and other duties as assigned. Qualifications The successful candidate will be capable of learning to design and build custom frames and able to handle artwork of varying sizes, weights and media. Preference will be given to those with backgrounds in art. They’ll have a friendly, communicative manner, impeccable attention to detail, an ability to work on their own and with others and an eager attitude to maintain standards and organization of work duties.
