For any photographer or wedding vendor out there who has created a styled bridal shoot, you will know how much hard work it is. There is a lot of effort, hours of communication and organizing behind all those pretty styled shoots you see printed in magazines and posted on popular wedding blog sites. For some people, it’s worth all the hard work if they can get their shoot published, but that’s only if the publisher or blog site like what you have created.

So what happens when you go through all the effort and there is no payoff?

Most photographers and wedding vendors are creative people at heart, and working on something where you get to showcase your talent and imagination feeds a part of our souls that rarely get to see the light of day during wedding season.

We want to change styled shoots for the better.

First and foremost, we want to make sure all vendors are paid for their time and hard work. With a lot of styled shoots, vendors are expected to donate their time and product for exposure. You cannot pay bills or put food on the table with exposure. Second, we want to make sure that the shoot benefits more than us. This is why we are creating an educational styled wedding shoot.

With two sessions available (a full-day or half-day) this Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Huxley, Alberta, you can pick what suits you best, all under the guidance of two industry professionals with decades of experience.
