Millican Ogden Community Art Project

The City of Calgary Public Art Program invites artists or artist teams to submit their qualifications to develop a community art project for the community of Millican Ogden. The community would like to engage an artist or artist team to create a new temporary project that celebrates its 65-year history as a Calgary community and its small-town feel while welcoming new families and creating a sense of connection through engagement resulting in an art project with a visual impact along the Ogden Road corridor.

Interested artists will develop a project concept which will focus on engaging the community in an interactive art project that celebrates the history of Millican Ogden while exploring ways to highlight the Ogden Road corridor that connects the community as a through way. The selected artist(s), with support from project advisors, will lead community engagement as an integral part of the artistic project.

Review the full application process and details included in the attached PDF.

The artist or artist team receives an all-inclusive, maximum budget of $15,000 CDN (not including GST). The successful applicant is paid based on deliverables as per their scope of work contract.

The artist/artist team is responsible for their project budget.
