Navigating Through Canadian Cultural Identity and Arts

The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) is hosting a networking event about Navigating Through Canadian Cultural Identity and Arts for immigrant artists on November 21, 2019. This event will focus on how local immigrant artists can successfully balance the demands of Canadian cultural identity and the arts.

It will feature a presentation from Marichu Antonio the director of ActionDignity and a panel discussion with Treffrey Deerfoot, an elder and founder/manager at Blackfoot Medicine Speaks, Bernice Shukairat, a career counselor at Center for Newcomers, and Vania Dimitrova, an award-winning immigrant artist.

We encourage you all to register for this upcoming event and also ask that you share this invitation with any artists that you might know regardless of their practice, style or background. It is our goal at ICAI to give as many immigrant artists as possible the opportunity to showcase their work and network with their peers at these events.

We want to let you know that you can play a direct role in making this happen. Please RSVP to info@icaionline.org before November 19, 2019.

For more information regarding the event, please send an email to info@icaionline.org or visit icaionline.org.
