Canadian techno ambassador, Richie Hawtin, participated in the 2017 program and Our Lady Peace founder, Raine Maida, led NMC’s Master in Residence program in 2016. Internationally acclaimed artist and producer, Daniel Lanois led NMC’s first ever Master in Residence event in 2015 with an interactive master session in collaboration with Sled Island Music and Arts Festival. “Steven Page is one of this country’s most distinct and successful tunesmiths, and we’re excited to provide the opportunity for emerging artists to work one on one with a Hall of Famer,” says Adam Fox, NMC’s Director of Programs. In addition to private mentorship sessions, Page will lead a songwriter’s circle featuring the RBC Master in Residence participants. The songwriter’s circle performance is included with admission to Studio Bell, but space is limited. More details to come in the following weeks, so stay tuned to studiobell.ca/whats-on for more information. About Steven Page Steven Page’s songs are etched in the canon of Canadian music. Page left the band in 2009, but continues to contribute to Canada’s musical story through his successful independent career.
