PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and designers collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spots—temporary public spaces. Date: September 21, 2018 Location: Downtown Core, Centre Street SW Submit applications by August 24, 2018. What are the park(ing) stall design considerations? Allotted space is 2.4 metres by 6 metres. Must be temporary. Installations should be sturdy and safe, while not interfering with traffic. Signage is limited to two posters, no larger than 11 by 17 inches, that serve the sole purpose of acknowledging the creators, funders and organizers of the PARK(ing) Day installation.
