Have you always admired the fascinators at royal events? Or have you always wanted to learn a traditional maker skill? If you answered yes then you are sure to enjoy this full weekend workshop with talented Milliner, Melissa Cole. Students will learn how to block and wire a straw fascinator base. Learn about basic millinery techniques and materials, hand stitching, proper finishing and trimming of your own fascinator. We will also touch on flower making, ribbons and feather work. We are keeping the class size on the small side, so that you will have time for hands-on learning with plenty of one-on-one time. This millinery course is suitable for beginners but previous sewing experience is recommended. Plus, you will take home one amazing, custom fascinator! Please note that all required materials are not included. A selection of sinamay straw and other supplies will be available for purchase during the workshop. Materials will cost between $15 and $30.
