Cornerstone Music Cafe is hiring a piano instructor!

Cornerstone Music Cafe is a vibrant community and a multi-faceted business offering music lessons across Calgary. Cornerstone Music operates studio locations in Calgary’s SE & NW and has in-home lessons available city-wide.

We are looking for a piano instructor to start in January 2023 in our SE location.

Preferred qualifications include completion of a post-secondary music program or an applied equivalent. We are looking for individuals with demonstrated dedication to their own musical practice, who have a passion and skillset for mentoring others.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter, including work experience, education and musical projects & background. In-person interviews take place at our main facility in Deer Ridge SE. Candidates will be asked to play two to three pieces in varied styles, demonstrate knowledge of fundamentals and sit down for an interview.

Please note that instructors are sub-contractors. Contracts are signed yearly, this particular contact starts January 2023 and ends June 2023. Contracts for returning instructors for the following lesson year are always signed in April. Long term availability is generally preferred, as our business is built on community and relationships.
