The 17th Annual Book Drive & Sale in support of RESET Society of Calgary (formerly Servants Anonymous) will take place from April 5 to May 5, 2019, at the Crossroads Market. This event is RESET’s largest annual fundraiser, raising funds to support women and their children who have experienced sexual exploitation and trafficking. RESET’s hard-working team of volunteers help to sort and sell thousands of books for this event each year, making it one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada. RESET Society of Calgary supports women and girls as young as 16 as they exit from sexual exploitation and trafficking. It is the only organization in Canada that provides 24/7, intensive 1:1 case management, comprehensive wrap-around, non-time-limited programming and progressive levels of supportive housing. Many people think that sexual exploitation and trafficking isn’t happening in Calgary. However, the City of Calgary has estimated that as many as 3,000 women and girls in Calgary are experiencing sexual exploitation. Every book donation or purchase made through the Book Drive & Sale allows RESET to further fulfill its mission, and let women and girls know that there is a way out.
