Wherever you are coming from—the RAFT program is for those who have recently started working or volunteering (less than three years) in an arts organization and are looking to build their knowledge or who are looking to start their own organization and are looking to build their knowledge. Description Fundamental skills in arts management provide early-career arts professionals (zero to three years of experience) an opportunity to learn what it means to work in a not-for-profit arts organization. Participants will be invited to take part in a fictional case-study story through speaking roles, discussions, role-playing, and a small group presentation. Topics covered include organizational structure (non-profit vs charitable status), board and staff relations, financial statements, strategic planning (mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, SWOT analysis, and evaluation), and project planning.
