SAM Centre Project Manager

The application deadline for this opportunity has passed.

Deadline for submissions is October 10, 2019.

Seeded by one of Canada’s most generous philanthropists Don Taylor, the SAM Centre (SAM) is envisioned as a must-see and must-do attraction which showcases the authentic, extraordinary experience of the Calgary Stampede—and what that experience has meant to generations of Calgarians and southern Albertans, year-round.

SAM will offer an immersive experience of the Stampede story fueled by technology, storytelling, and 21st-century progressive museum practices. This means co-creating community-facing programs, rich content development, and delivering an attraction that serves both our local markets and the travel tourism sector. SAM will meet the Stampede’s global reputation for values-driven hospitality, through learning spaces, access to archives and collections, and active welcoming public spaces.

SAM will be a platform for story-making, offering a collection of experiences that connect people by sharing the history, culture and spirit of the Stampede. SAM will be as much about the future as it will be about the past—always remaining relevant and relatable—no matter who you are or where you come from.
