Scenic Arts Assistant

The Badlands Passion Play is currently accepting applications for the position of Scenic Arts Assistant.

The Scenic Arts Assistant assists the Head of Scenic Art in building, altering, or procuring set pieces and properties. The position may involve significant manual labour and can be physically demanding. The Scenic Arts Assistant should have a knowledge of construction for Stage, and experience with scenic fabrication and materials like woodwork, painting, and fabric. Experience with welding, rigging, and landscaping is an asset.

This person will also act as running crew during performances, assisting with rigging (training provided), and the movement of props and set pieces during shows.

Most staff members live together on-site, so we are looking for positive team members who understand how to live cooperatively in community with mutual respect, refined stress management skills, and healthy boundaries.
