Archived April 23, 2016 Summer Camps The School of Alberta Ballet, Calgary studios offers Summer Dance Camps and Summer Dance Intensives for dancers of all levels, from ages three to 17. In addition to our downtown location, we are delighted to offer camps at the Alberta Ballet historic building (141 18th Ave. SW). Please see camp descriptions below. Summer Dance Camps: July 11 – 15, 2016 Summer Dance Camps: August 22 – 26, 2016 Senior Summer Dance Intensive: August 8 – 19, 2016 Junior Summer Dance Intensives: August 8 – 12 and August 15 – 19, 2016 Visit our website to find out more, schoolofalbertaballet.com. Program Descriptions Summer Dance Camps: No previous dance experience is necessary. Classes include Ballet, Jazz, Creative Movement, Music and Rhythm and dance related crafts. Junior Dance Camp will also include Workshop/Choreography and Modern. All programs will end with an informal demonstration open to viewing for family and friends. Senior Dance Intensive: We are pleased to offer this new two-week Summer Dance Intensive for serious dancers looking to take their training to the next level. Classes will include Ballet, Workshop/Choreography, Pre-pointe or Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Conditioning and Stretch, Pilates or Yoga, Dance History and Anatomy. The program will end with an informal demonstration open to viewing for family and friends. Junior Dance Intensive: We have extended our Junior Dance Intensives to these new full day programs. Classes will include Ballet, Workshop/Choreography, Modern, Jazz, Music and Rhythm, Stretch, Pilates or Yoga, Dance History, Anatomy and more. The program will end with an informal demonstration open to viewing for family and friends.
