Six Degrees is a Calgary based audio house dedicated to producing high-quality music and sound for commercials, television, and film. We are looking to fill a position for a full-time office manager and casting coordinator.

Qualities

The candidate must have exceptionally strong administrative skills, and an interest in music, radio, and film/television. The candidate must have first-rate organizational abilities, be extremely detail-oriented and computer savvy. This job is project-driven. It requires a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to take on the responsibility of working independently.

This role is very hands-on and fast-moving, with the candidate coordinating numerous castings, studio sessions and administrative tasks at one time, often working with tight deadlines.

Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Session scheduling (includes booking studio time, schedules, catering, etc.).
  • Accounts payable, receivable, expense reconciliation, and billing.
  • Database entry, record keeping, reporting information for accounting purposes as required.
  • Assisting the casting director and production with all incoming requests, launching casting calls, corresponding with agencies, scheduling auditions, booking talent and coordinating out of town recording studios for remote talent.
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the studios, lobby, kitchen, ordering office supplies, and providing client amenities.
  • Assisting the Six Degrees Performance Academy with various admin duties and email correspondence.

Skills

  • Proficient in MS Word.
  • Experienced in Excel (re: creating budget spreadsheets, session schedules, etc.).
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with clients in a professional and flexible manner.
  • Familiarity with advertising and the TV/film industry.
  • Experienced in scheduling & scheduling software.
  • Basic office experience (phone, fax, filing etc, skills).
