Soar Visual Arts Project
The submission deadline for this opportunity has passed.
Due to the short exhibition period, we encourage submissions that push boundaries of artistic practice—including, but not limited to, media experimentation, community engagement, work that is developed and/or created on-site, digital media, durational practices or spacial intervention. Preference is given to artists 35 and younger.
This project coincides with Lethbridge Arts Days, which is a week-long celebration of the arts in Lethbridge held in conjunction with provincial and national Culture Days.
The exhibition opening will be held on the evening of the gallery stroll on September 28, 2019. There is the expectation that the artist will be on hand during the gallery stroll for the evening opening reception and during Family Affair on the Square on Sunday, September 29, 2019, to engage with the public and activate their work and the space.
The kiosks are located outside on Rotary Square at Casa. They are repurposed sea-cans measuring 8’ X 10’ that are equipped with slat walls, lighting tracks and solid surface flooring.
Selected artists will be paid in accordance to CARFAC rates.
