Suona/Sheng Workshops
The Suona is a double reed horn from China. Have you ever heard it played live? Have you ever seen how the Sheng (mouth organ) works? Would you like to try them yourself and hear the story behind the instruments?
Calgary Chinese Orchestra and Mount Royal University Conservatory are proud to present Mr. Zhongxi Wu—renowned Suona and Sheng soloist from China—who will introduce these unique instruments to you! This is the first time ever that a specialist in these instruments has held a workshop in Calgary. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!
